At Coast Reporting, our professional court reporters are trained to produce accurate, verbatim transcripts that meet all discovery and court standards across BC.

Yes! Our certified real-time court reporters can stream text live using platforms like CaseView, LiveNote, and Summation Blaze—perfect for arbitrations, discoveries, and remote proceedings.
HOW DO I ORDER A TRANSCRIPT IN BC?
You can easily order a transcript online through our [Order a Transcript] page. We provide discovery/court transcripts in various formats, including condensed and keyword-indexed e-Transcripts. Our condensed transcripts are included free of charge.
How long does it take to get a transcript?
Regular service is 10 business days.
Weekly service is 5 business days.
Expedited service is 3 business days.
Daily service is 1 business day/next day, if ordered by noon on the day of ordering.
Can I order an uncertified transcript?
For certain proceedings, the reporter can provide an unedited, uncertified electronic transcript. Please let the office know at the time of booking if you require this service.
Do you offer virtual court reporting?
Absolutely. We support virtual proceedings via Zoom, Skype, MS Teams, and other platforms, and our team provides full tech support to ensure your remote session runs smoothly.
What types of legal proceedings do you cover?
Our certified court reporters cover all forms of legal proceedings, including examinations for discovery, arbitrations, professional discipline hearings, court trials, court transcription, and video depositions. We also support mediations by providing transcript services when required, ensuring every proceeding is documented with accuracy and care.
Do you travel outside of the lower mainland?
Yes! We have reporters available to travel outside of Greater Vancouver. Let us know at the time of booking where you require us to be, and we will be there. Travel/mileage fees may apply depending on distance. With enough notice, our reporters are able to travel outside of Greater Vancouver. Fees may apply depending on distance.

Our private boardrooms in downtown Vancouver come fully equipped with video conferencing tech, on-site support staff, and a welcoming, professional atmosphere. Plus, enjoy complimentary refreshments, fresh fruit, and Cathy’s homemade baked goods, served daily.
Can I use your spaces for hybrid or virtual mediations?
Yes. Our boardrooms are tech-ready for both in-person and virtual or hybrid mediation setups, with high-speed internet, video equipment, and scheduling support.
How far in advance should I book a boardroom?
We recommend booking as early as possible, especially for full-day mediations. Reach out to our Client Services & Operations Team to secure your preferred time. Contact us.
Do you provide support staff during mediations?
Yes. Our friendly and experienced team is available on-site to help with setup, scheduling, refreshments, and anything else you need for a seamless session.
Do you offer food or beverages?
Yes, all mediations have complimentary home baking, snacks, fresh fruit, and a variety of drink selections available at all times during your mediation session. If you require lunch to be supplied, we partner with local businesses to bring in fresh selections to meet all your dietary needs (additional fees will apply).

Do you handle video depositions?
Yes. Video depositions are typically held in person with a certified videographer present to record testimony, often from experts who cannot attend trial. While Coast does not book the videographer directly, we can recommend trusted professionals at the time of your booking. Our certified court reporters will be there to ensure an accurate transcript of the proceeding.
Can I book interpreter services through Coast Reporting?
No. Coast does not handle the booking of interpreters. However, if you require language interpretation, our team can recommend trusted professionals to assist with your proceeding.
I’m new to remote legal proceedings, can you help?
Absolutely. Our team offers technical support for virtual proceedings, including test runs, setup guidance, and day-of support for platforms like Zoom, MS Teams, etc.
